Founder & Leadership Coach

The Success Solution program was created by Debra Joy, a recognized expert in leadership and development. Prior to coaching, Debra built an award-winning career leading social and environmentally-focused businesses. She served as the president of Canada’s first full service socially responsible investment firm and was co-founder of Canada’s largest organic home-delivery service. She was also the co-founder and Board Chair of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility, a board member of The Better Business Bureau, with special focus on policy and ethics, and a faculty member with The Hollyhock Leadership Institute. 

Since then, Debra has gone on to teach The Success Solution methodology to hundreds of entrepreneurs, executives, and activists, drawing on her personal experience as a leader in business, her extensive education in leadership, and her training in somatic healing and nervous system regulation to help her students discover their own sweet spot - one where they’re able to work less, stress less, and achieve more.

Her coaching style is uniquely powerful because of her ability to listen beyond her clients’ words, tuning into what’s unsaid and quickly identifying the root cause of their challenges. Rather than focusing on surface-level symptoms, Debra helps her clients go deeper to understand the core of the problem and identify effective, meaningful solutions that combine business acumen and body wisdom. As a result, clients describe their work with Debra as nothing short of “transformative”, helping them learn a new way of working and living that finally feels good.

When Debra isn’t coaching The Success Solution students, she enjoys dancing, sharing food, flowers and stories with neighbors, stopping all the dogs to say hello, and transforming her property into a wildlife oasis.

Courtney Henry 

Business Strategist

Courtney’s career started in advertising, where she spent over 14 years in leadership positions at Hill Holliday, Tailwind, and Boston University’s in-house creative agency, helping brands like Bank of America, Disney, NFL, JPMorgan Chase, Cigna, Planet Fitness, Liberty Mutual, Macy’s, ALDI, and American Cancer Society develop a loyal following and drive loads of sales. She’s also the founder of GrowthMinded, a successful brand and marketing strategy firm that helps brands get the clarity and confidence they need to connect with and convert more clients, customers, and centers of influence.

In 2022, Courtney joined forces with Debra to support The Success Solution’s mission of helping ambitious women achieve their business goals without compromising their wellbeing. Drawing on her extensive experience turning business leaders' visions into actionable strategies, Courtney brings laser-focused clarity to simplify complex business and marketing challenges, eliminate guesswork, and maximize impact.

Known for her business creativity, Courtney adapts strategies across different contexts, making innovative ideas work in new ways. She excels at bridging the gap between vision and execution, applying The Success Solution principles to craft plans that bring out the best in individuals and teams and make the journey both profitable and enjoyable.

When she’s not helping her clients reach big, bold business goals through The Success Solution, Courtney can be found spending time with her husband and two sons, slaying a Peloton workout, competing in Irish Dance competitions, reading a personal development book (Debra’s still trying to get her to try a fiction novel…), or enjoying time at the beach.
